 FAQs About Invisible Bead Extensions®

  • Invisible Bead Extensions® is a method of extensions in which wefts of hair are sewn onto a hidden beaded foundation. This method requires no glue, tape, bonds, or adhesives of any kind. Hair and scalp health is top priority with IBE® ; there is no tension, over-direction, or discomfort created by these extensions. As an added bonus, they are extremely versatile when it comes to styling options because there are no exposed beads, bonds, or braids. 

  • Hand-tied extensions is the TYPE of weft used; IBE® is the method.

  • Maintenance is required every 6-10 weeks. The extensions will be removed and freshly installed each time which is called a reinstall appointment.

  • We recommend your first follow-up appointment at 7-8 weeks. At that time, your stylist will evaluate your grow-out and determine if you can go longer in between appointments. On average, one has their rows reinstalled between 8-10 weeks.

  • Quality hand-tied and micro weft hair will last on average 7-12 months with proper styling care and the proper use of professional hair products. We recommend Goldie Locks Professional Haircare.

  • We recommend using Goldie Locks®. These products focus on enhancing the experience you can have with your hair, from the inside out. Not only does this product line encompass internal well-being and balance, but it provides added support and hydration to your hair extensions, by offering an entire line of luxury hair care.

  • No! Most clients say they feel nothing from day one until the time they come back in for maintenance!

  • Yes! This method was created for all textures and densities.

  • When maintained properly at home, these extensions will not cause damage to your natural hair! This method was designed to have minimal points of contact, no tension, no overdirection, and we use very lightweight hair which causes no damage due to heavy wefts.
